Andrzej Michael Karwacki was born in Poland in 1967. The neighborhood in which Andrzej resided in as a youth was amidst the natural beauty of open parks and nature which many feel was an early source of inspiration. Prior to going to college, he was educated in European Art History while still in Poland. Andrzej, continued to be fascinated by art, and by 1984 he moved to New York to study oil painting. In 1990, he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Jersey City State University and his Master’s Degree from The School of Fine Art at The University of Pennsylvania in 1993. After many very successful exhibits on the East Coast, Andrzej moved to San Francisco. Andrzej Michael Karwacki's abstract paintings are expeditions of color, texture, and creative thought. He incorporates an electrifying palette, unrefined textures and repetition of forms, the paintings are motivated by his perception of elegance and innate knowledge.
