BIOGRAPHY:
Born in Chicago, Armond Fields (1930-2008) was a painter and graphic artist who created intricate silkscreen prints of urban and rural scenes. Armond's unique original serigraphs were created with hand-cut and stenciled techniques that are a lost art with the advent of digital printing. The serigraphs are unparalleled in technique and registration criteria. He was involved in all aspects of the production, which continue to attract collectors who admire the unique craft involved.
Before turning his attention to art, Armond worked in advertising and market research in Chicago and Los Angeles for many years. In 1969, he began a career as an independent market research and marketing consultant for various corporations and non-profit organizations. In the mid-'80s, Armond started a career as a writer. He also researched and wrote books on the French artists, Henri Riviere and George Auriol, and then began researching his great uncle, Lew Fields.
Armond's work is widely collected.
