Bartolo Malca was born in Cajamarca, Peru. In a pursuit of a better education, Malco relocated to the capital, Lima. By age 10 he had begun painting for the local church. He later went on to attend the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Lima, and also had the opportunity to study at the ateliers of De los Rios and Arribasplata. Malca’s works have been exhibited at several well known galleries and can also be found in private collections.
