Beltrán Bofill

Beltrán Bofill was born in Barcelona, Spain on June 17, 1934. Bofill attended the prestigious Casa Lonja, (the school in which Picasso also studied art). It was here that Bofill studied drawing, painting, composition and color theory. He also studied at the Sant Jordi Fine Art School in Barcelona.

Considered by many to be the foremost Spanish contemporary Impressionist of today, Beltrán Bofill paintings exude a sensuous and lively nature. His choice of subjects along with his impressionist style are reminiscent of great painters such as Renoir, Monet and Munch. Although His paintings are influenced by great artists before him Bofill has created a distinctive style of his own.

Since 1972 Joan Beltrán Bofill has had one man exhibitions in Palma, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Monaco, Paris, New York, Chicago, Palm Beach and Tokyo.
