Brent was born and raised in a creative environment. His parents would surround him with pencils, crayons, and lots of paper. Being an only child, he found that art was the one way to break the doldrums of a boring afternoon. Foreman would go outside to draw the birds and flowers and trees that made up the landscape of his suburban home. Family encouraged him to explore his talents and knew that he could succeed at being an artist if given the opportunity.

Opportunity to expand on those early explorations came with enrollment in a small Midwestern college. There Foreman learned to polish his skills and to create his own visual language. He found his instructors to be stern but fair.

That formal training led to a variety of arts-related jobs and, eventually, full-time work in his own independent artist’s studio.
