Bruce Braithwaite was born in 1950 in Manchester, England. After moving to Georgia as an adult, Braithwaite thrust himself into the art world – he painted over fifty landscapes between 1984 and 1986. This led to a well-received exhibition called “Atlanta: A City Portrait.” Eventually, Braithwaite moved to the Northeast, where he began to painting cityscapes of Philadelphia and New York. His cityscapes were supplemented with annual trips west to paint the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
