Candice Alford was born in Kilrush, Ireland. Growing up exploring the wild Irish countryside provided Alford with continuing inspiration for her later works. Eventually, Alford’s family moved to Warwick, Rhode Island, which prompted Alford to explore her creativity in new and different ways. Alford explored many artistic avenues, including guitar and singing, before becoming a visual artist. Alford opened her own studio in Atlanta, Georgia at age 25.
