Colette Miller

Colette Miller has always been creative- visually in her paintings and film making; musically through her bands. Art has continued to define most of her life’s purpose since graduating Art School at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, continuing film studies at UCLA, editing, filming for independent documentary projects and currently on The Global Angel Wings Project with the Kayole Wings Miller boxing Club in Kenya.
Miller's recent Interactive Street Art Angel Wings project started in 2012 has gone Global and she has had wings installed on Embassy Row in Washington DC, West Virginia, Richmond Virginia, Crystal City, Harlem NYC, Africa (Kenya-Koyale, Nairobi, Kogelo) Australia (Perth, Melbourne, Sydney), Los Angeles, Ventura, Hollywood, Juarez Mexico, Hawaii and Turkey. People spontaneously take photos with them, becoming part of the art. There is enough greed, anger and bitterness on this planet. The interactive wings are to remind people that we can be "Angels" of this earth. Ultimately she hopes they are a symbol of peace. Bring the sky to the street.
Her art is inspired by her heart, dreams, philosophies, memories, psychic or intuitive forces and color and movement. She never considers a painting finished until she reaches a point of love for the peace, a certain wholeness and completeness; where nothing essentially nags at her, bringing forth a type of meditation or mind travel.
