David Fernandez was born on Christmas Day, the 25th of December, 1959 as a premonition of his outstanding life. Displaying great artistic merit from an early age, David was invited as an honorary student at the Museo de Arte de Lima at the ripe young age of 13. At 20, he enrolled at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Peru, in Lima and developed a reputation as one of the best students ever to assist the art school. He is an avid reader and frequent visitor of libraries, where he claims to have uncovered the secrets of past great masters, like Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, Dali, and Picasso – his personal favorites. In the same regards that he gained knowledge, David is giving back by teaching art to young students at several renowned institutions, including the Instituto Diseno Jose Sabogal. He has held numerous exhibitions and his paintings are well known in collections throughout South America and the world.
