Dawn Matthews was born in Perth Australia in 1952, but she moved to England when she was ten years old. Dawn studied art at Bournemouth Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Polytechnic where she attained a BA in Art and Design and also a post graduate degree in teaching and a special qualification in dyslexic teaching and assessment. She is well regarded for her specialized technique in Oil painting. Dawn now has a purpose built studio in Rockingham, Western Australia and she is working on a series of Australian landscapes. Her work has been selected for prestigious galleries and exhibited extensively worldwide, including Amsterdam, Buenos Aries, Glasgow, Johannesburg, London, Munich, New York, Sydney, Dubai and Tokyo.
