Derrick Greaves was born in 1927 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. He originally worked as a songwriter, but Derrick soon dedicated himself to his true artistic passion and he studied first at the Royal College of Art and later in Italy. Derrick has held many one-man and group exhibitions in the UK, Europe and the United States. His work is prominently displayed in the world’s most prestigious public galleries, including the Tate Gallery, the Contemporary Arts Society, the Arts Council of Great Britan, the New York Public Library and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
