Born in 1940 in Denver, Colorado, Don Schissler began attending art schools in Denver. When his artistic interests and skills peaked he moved to New York City, where he studied at the Art Students League. Through his linear style of painting, he is able to express Beauty and Sensitivity of his subjects, of which his favorite is portraiture of Native Americans. He died in September of 1976.
