Fiora Cozzi

Born in New York City in 1922, Fiora Cozzi has gathered international attention for her unique style of painting. Throughout her years as an artist, she has explored many and varied styles, subjects, and media, often using different noms de plum. Cozzi’s Americana paintings, her garden scenes, and her flowery landscapes, which are often expressionistic in nature, have earned the most acclaim. She used her own name for these paintings and those of gardens and cottages, while “Worth,” “L. R. Smith,” “Marais,” and others are usually used to sign her more European-style paintings. She also paints under the names "Stauer," "Milet," "Neuhoff," "Hesse," "Burger," "Blakely," "Shore," "Bender," and "Leffler." All of her varied styles and moods have been well-received and Cozzi had numerous group, juried, and one-woman shows during her lifetime. Her paintings can be found in numerous private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad. Cozzi passed away in 1992.
