By the age of fourteen Hugo Westphal was already exhibiting his artwork alongside nationally known artists. In his teens, he was a highly sought-after illustrator, and in his early twenties he made the decision to travel the world to exhibit his work. He later moved away from commercial art and went back to painting full-time.
