Ida Butterworth is best known for her realist paintings. Primarily using oil paints on canvas, her miniature paintings of sunsets and seascapes have attracted a great deal of attention. These, as well as her larger-scale creations have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States.
