Turkish artist, Ilkin Deniz’s journey of painting started in elementary school, and continued through high school into university where he studied fine art in the graphic's department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After university, Deniz lived as a painter in Istanbul until his thirties, before moving to the United States where he continues to paint in Florida where he lives with his wife.

His paintings tap into the elusive charm and feeling of the Mediterranean - poor boats wandering the blue waters of charming Istanbul to catch fish. When observing the work of Ilkin Deniz, one can see the soul of a boat resting in the unique harmony of the blue sky above and blue water below, which perhaps whispers hope in the distant horizon.
