IVU graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Lasi, Romania with honors in Clothing Design, Iconography and Interior Decorating. One of IVU's main artistic focuses is to capture colors and understand how to apply them to her works. IVU describes this as a "perpetual challenge" that keeps her searching and experimenting with new ways to capture the essence of the things that she wants to paint images of. She feels that her passion for color is what keeps her alive as an artist. Throughout her painting career, she has always been restless to explore and do more and paints with oil because they have the richness and tone for her to express herself. IVU describes her art in these words: "I create modern art as a person guided by old, precise, and clearly defined principles of honor and respect. It might be considered old-fashioned, but I will not change." IVU has participated in numerous exhibitions including: International Contest Exhibition "Saloanele Moldovei" Bacau-Chisinau (2004); Annual Department Exhibition U.A.P Bacau (2002); National Art Ermitage Bucharest, Romania (2001); International Contest Exhibition "Saloanele Moldovei" Bacau-Chisinau.
