Born in Wellington, New Zealand, James Sargent followed in his father’s artistic footsteps from a young age. Exploring many art media, Pratt works with watercolors, oils, and other paints. He also only uses the three primary colors, red, blue, and yellow to create his masterpieces. While his talent extends to many areas, he uses the name “James Sargent” especially on his stunning wine bottle still lifes and his marine scenery.

When he isn’t at him home in South Carolina with his wife, they spend their time at their home in Southern France. While maintaining his own art, Sargent also conducts special painting demonstrations. His work is collected privately and publicly all over the world.
