Currently residing in California, artist Jason Mernick is known for creating mesmerizing installation pieces using a unique process that draws natural elements from metal. Though always interested in art, his passion was re-ignited when he was forced to deal with the tragic loss of both of his parents. Mernick then participated in the New York Artexpo SOLO and selling out each exhibit four years in a row was integral in launching the successful career he now enjoys today. Since then, Mernick has accepted commissions from The Rochester Technology Park in New York, Harrah’s Casino in Chicago, and The Thomas Jefferson Law School in San Diego. Mernick has also participated in many successful one-man shows across the country.

Though working with the unpredictability of fire adds an element of danger to his work, it also makes each piece incredibly unique and original. Mernick also adds an intereactive element to his pieces, allowing the collectors to bend the pop out designs in unique and unlimited ways. Because of this, Mernick says that his art “is like improvisational jazz in that you can’t really predict the next note.”
