Jean Duval was born in Austria in the twenties. He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in addition to the Academy in Rome. His travels inspired him artistically. Throughout his journeys his visited Italy, Northern Africa, and America to name a few locations.

Duval works were routinely displayed in exhibitions in Austria, Italy, and France. One of his paintings was acquired for the personal collection of the late Austrian President Dr. Scharf. Duval’s are composed of prolific tones and color detail.
