Born in 1958 in Castellane, France, Jean Paul Beattry drew much inspiration from neighboring Nice; chaos, sophistication, and various city scenes made a lasting impression on the young man. Beattry has studied a wide variety of styles, including but not limited to impressionism, and his work has achieved wide acceptance throughout Europe and Japan.
