Jerry Wenninger's interest in art was prompted by his artist father who was also his first instructor. Throughout high school, Mr. Wenninger won various art competitions. He received an art scholarship from Baylor University, where he won the prestigious Harold Simmons Award for the Arts three successive years. After graduation Mr. Wenninger experimented with various styles, different media and a range of subjects before deciding upon visual realism in black and white (graphite). Mr. Wenninger's work examines the ordinary in an extraordinary, unique manner.
