John Dawson is a figurative artist who specializes in works that play with perceptions and are psychological in nature. He Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in 1969, and from Arizona State University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1974, he has worked in the professional art field for over thirty years.

He has had more than sixty One Man Exhibitions from New York to San Francisco, and all over the US. John has shown in approximately 50 National and Regional Competition Exhibitions throughout the US as well. John's work has been reviewed in various publications, including Art News, Artweek, Southwest Art, and Art Voices South, not to mention various local newspapers and magazines. He was also selected to appear in the book "World Artists 1980-1990”. And he has recently had his own book published: "Dawson - Thirty Years".

His work is currently being shown in galleries in Arizona, California, Maryland, and Oklahoma.
