Lida Marie Smith was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia into a artist family. Ms. Smiths' father and uncle were artists. Ms. Smith came to Dallas in 1993 to study figure drawing. She is already an accomplished textile designer for the past 6 years. Ms. Smith has had several exhibitions and painted a 2,500‘ mural on the floor of a local restaurant.
