Linda Bastian was raised in a small town called Ayer located in Massachusetts. When she was a child she loved to paint and draw. Her mother quickly noticed her love for art and got her private art lessons when she was in 7th grade. Her early art lessons prove to be key to her artistic growth. Linda went on to attended Northfield School in Massachusetts, and later, Antioch College, where she majored in Design. Linda earned her Master's at the Boston Museum School and Tufts University. Linda ultimately went on to hold numerous group and solo exhibitions with much success. She became a teacher at the School of Visual Arts. She held the chair of the art department for 19 years. Bastian later began to travel and she taught art in Abu Dhabi, and spent 6 years teaching in the Middle East. Linda was also included in the Sharjah Museum's biennial survey of international women artists. Her works can be found in numerous private and public collections around the world.
