Born in 1963, Linda Ravenscroft grew up with a vivid imagination. As a child, Ravenscroft’s parents would tell her stories and myths, which provided inspiration for the colorful faerie portraits for which she would later be known. Currently residing in Cheshire, England with her husband and daughter, Ravenscroft uses the forest near her home as a continuous source of inspiration. Influenced by the styles of Alphonse Mucha and William Morris, Ravenscroft’s favorite medium is watercolor because she is able to capture depth in her colors.
