Daring and imaginative, the art of Lisa Kesler is an unending experiment in materials, techniques, styles, and composition. While studying fine arts at the University of Illinois, Kesler began to combine abstract, flat images with those of a more realistic nature, a commentary on her rural surroundings. Intrigued and inspired by cubists and the patterns she observed from day to day, Lisa now stylizes form into simpler geometric shapes, juxtaposing bold colors to create whimsical images prized in public and private collections worldwide.
