Lisandro Lopez Baylon was born in Buenos Aires in 1951. He studied art at the Pan American School of Art, as well as the School of Fine Arts, both located in Buenos Aires. Since 1971, Baylon has dedicated the majority of his time and energy to the art of painting. He has not only presented expositions, but has lived in the cities of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and Venezuela of south America. He has also traveled to many other locations to present his art including Panama, Costa Rica, Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Montreal, Canada.
In 1977 Lisandro came to the United States for the first time, Since this initial visit, he has painted in different areas of the country. Because traveling has become his custom since leaving his home country, Baylon has gained insight and perspective on the different realities around the world in various cultures, and he uses this knowledge and information to create his paintings and express the drama and aesthetics that his paintings have become so well known for.
Baylon Prefers to paint with a palette knife, but also uses brushes to create many of his amazing works of art, that can be found in fine art galleries across America.
