Lucia Sarto was born in Udine, Italy in 1950. She began studying art in Venice, Italy. By 1961 she received 1st place in a painting competition that was held for the Region’s Middle Schools. During her training, Sarto got the opportunity to be instructed by the well known artist V. Guidi, which enriched her skills with portrait work.

Sarto furthered her studies in Turin, a renowned area of artistic culture. By 1979 she received one of her greatest achievements, Female Painter of the Year. Since that time Sarto has continued to receive numerous accolades. To date she has been in more than 100 exhibitions, and has held approximately 50 solo exhibitions. Her works can be found on display throughout Europe.
