California native Michael Doyle took the intellectual approach to art - his interest in painting did not develop until after he studied art history at Berkeley. Mostly self-taught, Doyle was inspired by the Impressionist masters as well as Joan Miro, Piet Mondrian, and Pablo Picasso. Living and working in the Bay Area, Doyle uses shapes to show movement and depth in his works. Having already gained significant recognition and celebrity on the West Coast, Doyle’s work recently became a favorite of “King of Queens” star Leah Remini.
