Michael Flohr is a Californian at heart, and that show in all his work. Particularly in his urban cityscapes, Flohr captures the sound of a scene, not just the sight. His artwork has been described as jazz music for visual media. “It takes and eight- or sixteen-bar phrase, establishes it as a theme, then strays into an improvisational interpretation of that theme by seeing how far out it can get while still staying in the chords,” explained Flohr’s representative.
