A British ex-pat, Mike Powell has been taking pictures for over 30 years and operates out of his Los Angeles-based studio. A world-renowned sports photographer, Powell has made a name for himself with his ability to capture action-packed shots with split-second reflexes, and still photos that speak volumes about the beauty and grace of the human form.

He has been invited many times over to cover such awesome events as the Super Bowl, the Winter and Summer Olympics, the World Cup and the Tour de France; he has been awarded the International Olympic Committee's Best in Pictures prize, the Sasakawa Foundation Award, and many other accolades. When he's not taking pictures, he's scaling a mountain in Alaska or running on to a race track to get that perfect shot.
