Nikolay Ruban was born in Russia in 1934. After finishing high school, Ruban worked as a cartographic draftsman. Inspired by artworks of famous Aivazovskiy, Shishkin, and Sherbakov, Nikolay began his studies in Moscow University of Arts, and majored in visual arts in 1970. After graduation, he moved to Moldova, were he worked in the State University, sharing his talent and skills with students for many years. Today, Nikolay Ruban is an accomplished oil painter, and continues to inspire young and old with his exceptional works.
