Norka Urde was born in Lima, Peru in 1954. She is a self taught artist that learned to paint from her husband, Paul Urde. It is not surprising; however, since she comes from a family of talented arsists, including poets and magicians. Norka Urde initially made herself a career in art restoration, but recently she has become increasingly recognized as the queen of still life painters and her art is repeatedly sold out at her exhibitons.
