Phillip Whitmore was born 1956 raised in Bombay, India son of English parents working for the UK in India. Learning to paint at a very young age he was influenced by artists such as Daumier and Manet. Whitmore today reflects his studies of Morisot work, in its simple and ambiguous beauty.
