Born in Tehran, Iran, Gholam Yunessi began developing his artistic talent from a young age. In high school he focused mostly on drawing and charcoal work, studying with the renowned artist Shaness. After high school, Yunessi studied art history and technique at the Tehran College of Fine Art. Soon, he was creating, exhibiting, and even teaching. Yunessi also traveled Europe to study the European art masters. Yunessi uses this study and inspiration to create remarkable art that juxtaposes cultures, styles, and sensitivities.

Yunessi describes nature as his main inspiration: “I try to present nature as tangible and exciting. I strive to incorporate those human qualities of life that give it character: happiness, sadness, joy, pleasure, phobia, beauty and, of course, an occasional touch of ugliness.” Yunessi’s artwork is exhibited and collected all around the world.
