Born in 1975, Sergey Ignatenko is from Gomel, a town in the Republic of Belarus. Showing talent at a young age, Ignatenko was accepted into art school at age 11. While remaining local in his native land, the artist devoted his time to studying with many of the great masters of Belarus and the USSR. By 2002, he had graduated and was an art teacher himself. A member of the Belarusian Art Guild, Ignatenko has opened his own studio in his beloved hometown. But that's not to say he doesn't get around: this gifted artist's creations can be found in collections in the USA, United Kingdom, Japan, France, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, Lithuania, Norway, Canada, South Africa.
