Michael Kerman was born in the Ukraine in 1964. His father, Wolf Kerman, was an established painter. In 1982, Kerman graduated from the Ukraine Republic of Art School and, that same year, was accepted into the Kiev High Acadamy of Art, where he graduated with honors. Kerman's style of painting is greatly influenced by the Post-Impressionists, Matisse in particular and his works have been referred to as "turn of the century European." Kerman's art has been featured in various galleries and exhibitions, including Maya Polsky Gallery, Chicago; Marie Therese Cochin Galerie, Paris; Naharia Municipal Museum, Israel; and Binyanei Hauma Center, Jerusalem.
