Vera V. Goncharenko was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in 1970. Since 1987 she has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1989 she graduated from the a specialized school for art and architecture in Dnipropetrovsk. While studying in this school and receiving many compliments from her instructors, she decided that she should send her portfolio to some universities in order to receive scholarships for college. She couldn't afford paying for college, but she believed that knowledge can open her many doors in the future.
In 1993 she went to a famous univeristy of art in Ukraine, where she met her husband Sergey.
During 1996 until 1998 she taught at the Dnepropetrovsk Theater and Art College where she got her unique style and love for nature. Vera once said, "When I am working on a new project, my main goal is to make the viewer admire the power of nature."
