Born in 1958 Brazil, Jozza was raised by an artistic mother and hard working father. In 1986 he moved to the USA as a pro-soccer player in California, but returned to Brazil in 1990. After years of reflection and action he relocated with his young family to Miami to finally pursue his art career, finally landing his first exhibit in 2000. Since, he has exhibited across the globe…including at sea, by way of Disney Cruise Lines.
Jozza creates his art with vibrant imagery, bright colors, and hard-edged abstract subjects. Painting a wide range of subjects, his paintings are inspired by the simple streets of Brazil to the elegant cities of the United States. Inspired by Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana, Romero Britto and Peter Max, Jozza's vibrant imagery is featured in public and private collections in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Germany.
Jozza says, "God with a simple touch created the universe, full of beauty, life and colors. He created mankind and through the lines, colors and circles of life go on searching for better days." It is this view that has also seen him contribute back to community via various non-profit institutions as well. |
