Raffi Musakhanyan was born in 1960 in Armenia, where at the age of 12 he discovered that the fine arts were his true calling. Following his passion, he was later accepted into the prestigious Yerevan Khatchatur Abovyan University of Fine Arts in Armenia, where he graduated from in 1983. Raffi sees the unnoticeable, and through his art, he attempts to reach out to the roots of people's spirits by depicting unravelled devotion.
