Raisa M. Blum was born in 1955 in Moldova former USSR, where she studied at the Fine Art school in Kishinev. Raisa uses a unique technique, which emphasizes unique materials that allow the color to spread randomly with emphasis on the composition of the paint. Her technique is a combination of realism with abstract, and her preferred subject matter is flowers in various compositions.

Raisa's paintings took part in numerous group exhibitions all over the world.
