Richard Burns was interested in art at a very young age. Though he often drew and sculpted while growing up, it wasn’t until his junior year of college that he decided to make art his life’s work. Following this epiphany, Burns transferred from Northern Arizona University to Cal. State University Northridge where he majored in art. Burns’s love of nature shines through his acrylic paintings, and he has used his wildlife paintings to benefit various funds and charities that protect the environment and endangered species. Though he is known for his wildlife art, Burns is also fascinated by cottages and lighthouses, and he has recently added them to his repertoire.
