Robert Striffolino was born in New York City, and raised in Long Island. As a child he had a great talent with drawing free hand, but always felt his art was personal and he could not share it with anyone including teachers. Striffolino went on to major in architecture at Ohio University. While working as an architect he had the desire to paint, and soon left his job to search for his true calling in life. He has been painting ever since.
