Ron Rophar

Ron Rophar is an American artist who was born in Los Angeles. As a Master Artist, his paintings were so sought after by collectors in the 1970s and 1980s that they paid handsomely for his pieces. Rophar is also an internationally celebrated artist collected by celebrities and art sophisticates all over the world. An artist of exceptional versatility and skill, Rophar's imagination has given him mastery of every subject he has tried his hand at. He is celebrated in Moscow for his portrayal of Prima Ballerina, Maya Plisetskaya performing the dying Swan Queen from Swan Lake, and given a letter of thanks at the Russian Embassy Celebration in Washington D.C. Because of his exquisite talent and representation of the Ballerina he is attributed to helping facilitate initiations of the reestablishment of the cultural exchange, between the U.S. and Russia. Miss Plisetskaya accepted the painting on behalf of the Russian people in Red Square. Rophar is the only American Artist to have a painting hanging in the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow (1971). Rophar was also commissioned by the Danbury mint and is rightfully acknowledged in Who’s Who in American art.
