Rosanne Kaloustian

For all of her life, Rosanne Kaloustian has been a passionate artist. Her talent and dedication earned her a full scholarship to the National Academy of Design in New York City. As a result of her continued success there, she was given the Suydam Gold Medal award. During her artistic training, Kaloustian traveled extensively in Europe as part of an independent studies program, which inspired her artistic style and passions even further. After these travels, she decided to begin a career as a fine artist and illustrator.

Kaloustian’s still lifes, portraits, and landscapes have earned her a great deal of acclaim. She has exhibited her work across the country, including at the National Academy of Fine Arts, the Museum of American Illustration, and at Saks Fifth Avenue. Her work has been published in widely-circulated magazines including Reader’s Digest, Woman’s Day, and Redbook. Kaloustian, a lifetime member of the Art Students League and the Graphic Artists Guild, describes her popular work as an attempt to communicate things to which words can do no justice. “In art there is only one thing of value,” she explains, “that which cannot be explained in words. Through my unique sense of color and light, I strive to communicate emotions first and then the bits and pieces of a particular subject.”
