Shawn Swain was born 1968 in San Antonio, Texas and started drawing when he could hold a pencil. This talent at such an early age enabled him to take classes at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, while just ten years old. He also helped teach his high school Art classes and went on to attend The Art Institute of Dallas, where he studied under the late Leo Smith. As an avid outdoors-man, painting wildlife came naturally. “The beauty of the creatures and scenes that God has given us inspires me to his glory.”
