Sofia Khunteyev received an Associate in Art Degree from Ostrovsky Art Institute in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and a Ph.D. in Art from the Strogonov Art Institute in Moscow, Russia. She taught at the Ostrovsky Art Institute for nineteen years and is considered to be one of Russia's finest artists. Her works are on permanent display in various museums and in the homes of serious collector’s world wide.
