Terry Campbell is an oil painter who proudly embraces free use of color and texture. He describes himself as "an artist on and off since childhood," and enjoys painting a wide variety of subjects. He employs a brushwork technique for a more 'traditional' effect, and brings in a palette knife for more textured appearances. A student of renowned city, sea and landscape artist Elliot Fallas, Campbell parlays his rich tutelage into creating unique and eye-catching images: "I pretty much know when I have an idea for a painting which technique I will use. Some paintings are soft and subtle, some are bold, colorful and powerful," Campbell says, "although it really isn't my choice...it's the idea's."
