Tony Chow was born “Tung Chow” in 1974 in Taipei, Taiwan with a penchant for artistic expression. Studying the art masters from a young age, Chow began painting on canvas both to express his love of the art and to better understand the motives behind the masterpieces of the classics. Coming to the United States in 1995, he adopted the name “Tony” and attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he earned a BA in Fine Art.

Using this formal training and his youthful study of the classics, Chow developed his own style that is readily apparent in his work today. His paintings, generally depicting female subjects and classical sculptures, present “an intriguing blend of past and present.” His talent for light and color combined with his tendency to create layers and textures make Chow’s paintings widely acclaimed masterpieces.
